Fast Track Catch Up - Week 20

You're halfway there! Take your pregnancy as it comes and know that you're just about midway to the birth of your baby.

This Pregnant Body
Walking is a safe and effective form of exercise for most women during pregnancy, so walk as much as possible, and make sure to breathe deeply and rest when you need to. Your growing baby is causing your internal organs to press against your lungs, which can make breathing more difficult or sometimes make you feel you are out of breath. So while you are exercising or even running errands, pay attention to what your body tells you and slow down if you feel out of breath. The midway point is when many women develop anemia, so make sure you get enough iron, and take supplements if necessary.

Your Baby
Your baby is now about 5.6 to 6.4 inches and weighs approximately 9 ounces. Your baby is now big enough that you may be able to tell when he or she is awake or asleep based on the level of activity. You can also see a lot of movement in the ultrasound image. Looking at ultrasound images of other babies can help you figure out what you're looking at when you see your baby's image.
