Fast Track Catch Up -Week 18
This Pregnant Body
Sufficient rest is one of the most important components of a healthy pregnancy. Pregnancy-related insomnia may start to affect your daily routine, but there are things you can do to help. Make sure you always go to the bathroom before you go to bed so you won't be awakened in the middle of the night. Try using pillows in different places under your chest, abdomen or between your knees. Find an arrangement that is most comfortable for you. Take a warm bath or read before bed to relax you further.
Your Baby
Your baby weighs about 5.25 ounces and is 5-1/2 inches long from crown to rump, or about the size of a large pickle. Your baby's digestive system is starting to produce meconium, its first fecal matter. Some new moms are scared at the sight of it in their newborns diapers and think something must be wrong with their baby, but its perfectly normal and will only last a few days after birth.
